Hylaeus taeniolatus
On a colour pantrap. 11.6 mm.
HEAD: Antennal flagellum pale brown below. Second flagellum segment a bit longer than 3rd and 4th together, that is: A3>(A4+A5) or A3/(A4+A5)=1.27. Face transverse, wider than long. Fovea short, slightly narrowed below, ending at the level of the middle of the antennal insertion; foveae wide, top end about one ocellar width from the outer ocelli, foveal index (above): 0.5. Clypeus flat, transversely wrinkled. Labrum lamella notched. Mandibles short. Thick bristles on paramandibular process present. Face hairs pale yellow.
MESOSOMA: Hairs on mesonotum, scutellum and postscutellum short, but not scale-like nor spindle-shaped. Mesoscutum punctuation dense, tegument dull (reminiscent of that, i.e., A.flavipes). Central area clearly wrinkled, structured in the sculpture as roughly as the side parts of the central area.
LEGS: Legs tegument black, except the brown last segments of tarsi. Inner side of hind femora shallowly depressed, with a row of hairs. Tibial scopa pale yellow. Inner spur of hind tibiae slightly broadened at base, curved backwards.
METASOMA: Tergites T1-T3 densely punctured, more densely in the depressed apical part. Tegument smooth, shiny, lightened apically, yellowish. Tergite ends from the 2nd and the following with narrow yellowish hair bands, complete or narrowly interrupted. Terminal hair fringe orange. Pygidium rounded at tip.
REMARKS: Fovea coloured in green in one picture to emphatize its shortness. The pictures of the underside of head, as well as those of the wings, are from another specimen of the same form from a nearby locality.
Somehow similar to A.polita, or A. relata, but not sure about the species.
