Same location we used to find them as kids. Adult male that had no reaction under UV light. Not sure if it’s a seasonal thing or what, but interesting. I have ordered a stronger 365 nm and will try again. I took this one into the bathroom at work and noticed it was only lighting-up stains on light surfaces, so maybe that is part of the issue and the dark surfaces are absorbing much of the light. I have a lot of questions about this phenomenon that I want to experiment with in local herp species. The lack of reaction is in stark contrast to this individual here: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/98561708
Update: Luckily my cousin hadn’t released this specimen due to the cold snap, so I got one more chance at the UV with the 365 nm. Results were much better, though not as blue as I see in other specimens. My experiment a bit more, but at least we have some results! New photos have replaced the old UV shots.

Lucky capture of incident. Prey originally thought to be worm but noticed snake later in editing. Not clear if the bird succeeded in consuming it. Snake ID suggested by naturalist friend.

This observation is for the prey. This smallish alligator swam up with it already captured, tried for 20 minutes to toss it back, and in the end swam away with the duck still gripped in its jaws.

I don't know if it's possible to ID the frog from these shots - the bird was waaay over there across the water, so impossible to get great shots of. More angles of it are in the next series, of the egret. The frog seems big enough, and green, and stocky enough to be a bullfrog?

Found on a moss bank beside the stream. With incessant rain for two days, the stream was incredibly flooded and most of the creek chubs and dace were pressed up against the shore. I spent about an hour looking for one of these, when I finally found this little fellow beside the water. Completely exasperated, next to cascading, deafening rapids, it had a badly severed tail and lacked the energy even to flip itself back over at first. After a brief photo session, it slipped back into a crevice where the moss and water meet, and hopefully survived the bombardment of water from Whitetop.
