I spent two days to get a dorsal view of this beauty. Since she doesn't keep the wings open, I tried positioning myself standing behind it to catch shots it closing or opening its wings. It was futile. I've a blurry dorsal photo taken at the same place some 2-3 years ago.

My first in Sikkim! The one spotted in Arunachal Pradesh 10 years ago (during an angling trip) was the other.

This beauty was spotted at Reshi River Bank two weeks ago on the way back from a photo trip to the the famed picturesque Zoluk (Dzoluk), and was flying around like a butterfly in the warm morning. In fact our son Rinchen Dorji, who saw it first, thought it was a butterfly!
