At Camper Creek. "Tyler was able to borrow a PIT tag reader from DFO and we found out that it did have a PIT tag. I sent the information to Troy Nelson, and through his connections he was able to find out where and when the fish was tagged. It was released in April 2003 in the lower Columbia River in Washington state and has not been recaptured since (14 years and 4 months)! Further analysis will also be done on the fish to find out more about it's life history and how much time it spent in fresh versus marine waters. Very little is known about their marine residency and this analysis will add to our understanding of this rare and elusive long lived fish species."
